Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Trade Support Associate in Local Markets Rates Trading Middle Office to provide first-line desk support, accurate trade capture, lifecycle management, and clear risk and P&L reporting.

You will collaborate across control functions, resolve issues quickly, and contribute to disciplined execution, root-cause analysis, and change initiatives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate working knowledge of interest rate derivatives and trade lifecycle concepts.
• Apply understanding of market risk concepts and sensitivities in rates trading.
• Explain drivers of trading profit and loss and reconcile differences with evidence.
• Execute strong control discipline with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Communicate clearly with trading, risk, finance and operations in time-sensitive contexts.
• Solve problems using structured investigation and escalation when needed.
• Operate in a high-volume environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Use spreadsheet tools to analyze data and produce reporting outputs.
• Collaborate within a team and contribute to shared outcomes.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in managing operational, market, and reputational risks.

Responsibilities

• Capture trades accurately in the risk management system and ensure timely details.
• Verify new transactions against term sheets, recap information, and broker confirmations.
• Monitor lifecycle events and ensure timely processing of rate fixings and resets.
• Review confirmation documentation and resolve discrepancies versus internal bookings.
• Investigate P&L and risk questions from the front office and drive closure.
• Produce daily and ad hoc risk and exposure reports for control and oversight partners.
• Run scenario analyses and what-if assessments to support trading decisions.
• Partner with settlements, collateral, finance, and other control groups for smooth processing.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal control requirements for reportable trades.
• Test model changes and document impacts for stakeholders.
• Improve processes through root-cause analysis, standardization, and automation ideas.
