Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London seeks a JPY Trader Associate within Global Rates to market-make products and manage risk across markets.

You will be the primary market-maker for JPY interest rate swaps and related FX instruments, collaborating with Sales and Trading teams to deliver execution and client service. The role requires a strong background in rates markets, a track record in trading, and the ability to work under time pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of rates markets and macroeconomic dynamics.
• Relevant trading experience in interest rates.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.

Responsibilities

• Market-make JPY interest rate swaps and long-end cross-currency basis, covering the JPY STIRT book in FX Forwards and OIS.
• Identify and pursue risk-taking opportunities across G10 currencies through independent research and analysis.
• Collaborate with traders on other currencies and cover additional books as required.
• Lead initiatives to improve desk pricing and efficiency.
• Engage with clients to discuss market developments and support growth of the JPY franchise.
