Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Trader Associate in Global Rates to market-make within JPY and manage a risk portfolio across related markets.

You will work closely with the team, Sales, and other Trading entities to deliver execution and risk management, serving as the primary market-maker for JPY rate swaps and related instruments. You will identify opportunities across G10 currencies, collaborate with traders, and drive pricing and efficiency initiatives while engaging clients on market

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field.
Comprehensive understanding of rates markets and macroeconomic dynamics.
Relevant trading experience in interest rates.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Capacity to perform effectively under time pressure.
Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.

Responsibilities

Market-make JPY interest rate swaps and long-end cross-currency basis, covering the JPY STIRT book in FX Forwards and OIS.
Identify and pursue risk-taking opportunities across G10 currencies through research and analysis.
Collaborate with traders on other currencies and cover additional books as required.
Lead initiatives to improve desk pricing and efficiency.
Engage with clients to discuss market developments and support growth of the JPY franchise.
