Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Production Support professional to provide end-to-end support for front office trading applications and production infrastructure in London.

You will ensure system stability, monitor live environments, manage incidents and problems, and work closely with business and technology teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience with Unix and scripting, and a track record of production support in large-scale

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining IT services.

Job responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
• Support the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
• Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
• Identity issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
• Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
• Knowledge of front office trading applications and Equities markets
• Experience in Incident and Problem management
• Experience in using Unix commands
• Strong communication skills to translate technical language into meaningful business impact statements
• Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages (Unix Shell, Python) plus an interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed
• Have an understanding of the Agile methodology
• Have ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
• Demonstrates knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
• Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
• Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting
• Working understanding of public cloud
