Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a proactive Hire & Sales Coordinator to join our Plant & Tool division in the UK. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling hire requests, coordinating logistics, and resolving queries with speed and care.

In a fast-paced depot environment you’ll drive sales through excellent service, manage stock levels, and coordinate with drivers and fitters to ensure timely deliveries and collections.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume hire desk or similar fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service with a commercial edge to drive sales.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Confident IT skills including Outlook and Excel.
• Team-oriented but able to work independently and take the initiative.

Responsibilities

• Managing incoming and outgoing hires per day across a wide range of plant and tool equipment.
• Processing hire desk administration and handling customer and supplier queries with speed and accuracy.
• Ensuring stock levels meet demand and identifying opportunities to maximise sales.
• Coordinating with drivers and fitters to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
• Resolving customer complaints and supplier issues with professionalism and efficiency.
