Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection in Antrim, Northern Ireland, is looking for a Temporary HR Advisor for an initial one-month assignment, with a potential extension. The role focuses on recruitment and onboarding, delivering a positive experience for new hires and managers in a dynamic environment.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment, coordinate interviews and pre-employment checks, support onboarding activities, and handle employee relations with discretion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
• Demonstrable experience in recruitment, selection and onboarding.
• Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive problem solver focused on positive candidate and new hire experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in HR systems and data reporting.
• Committed to confidentiality and high professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding to ensure a best-in-class candidate experience.
• Coordinate interviews, pre-employment checks and new starter documentation.
• Ensure onboarding activities support smooth integration of new employees.
• Handle employee relations issues with discretion (discipline and grievances).
• Assist in designing and delivering onboarding programmes and training.
• Maintain HR systems to track recruitment and onboarding progress.
• Contribute to HR policy improvements to enhance candidate and employee experience.
• Generate recruitment metrics reports and help benchmark salaries.
• Support wider HR activities to promote staff engagement and retention.
