Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Haringey are seeking a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for the 2026/27 academic year. The role starts on 1 September 2026 and runs for the full academic year.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30am–3:30pm, with a daily PAYE rate of £115–£125. You will support across Reception to Year 6, cover lessons when required and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• HLTA experience or similar
• Experience across EYFS and KS2 in primary
• Strong behaviour management and ability to engage pupils across year groups
• Proactive, flexible and team-focused approach
• Genuine passion for developing teaching practice and pupil learning

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality support across the school from Reception to Year 6
• Covering whole classes in the absence of the teacher with pre-planned lessons
• Supporting teaching and learning and adapting activities for varying abilities
• Delivering targeted interventions and small group work
• Managing behaviour to maintain a positive learning environment
• Collaborating with staff to ensure continuity in learning
