Supply Desk Ltd are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Banbury, Oxfordshire, to recruit a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) starting September 2026. The role offers full-time or part-time hours with a daily rate of £110 - £140 depending on experience.

The HLTA will work closely with teaching staff across year groups, lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher, provide targeted interventions, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment within the

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent is required
• Experience in a primary school setting is essential
• Ability to deliver lessons across different year groups
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
• Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted intervention
• Assist with planning, preparing, and adapting learning activities to meet pupils' needs
• Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers
• Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents, and carers
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring all children can access the curriculum effectively
