Job summary

Gatton VA Primary School seeks an enthusiastic HLTA to support teaching and learning, work with individuals or small groups under supervision, and provide regular PPA cover during term time.

The role requires safeguarding responsibilities, leading a class at times, and aligning with the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage. A committed, collaborative team player who shares the school ethos is sought.

Qualifications

• Takes responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children.
• Has experience of leading a class.
• Has excellent knowledge and a sound understanding of the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework.
• Is a hardworking and dedicated practitioner; able to motivate and inspire children.
• Is enthusiastic, resourceful and committed to ensuring the highest possible standards of achievement and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Working with teachers to support teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups of pupils under the direction of teaching staff.
• Providing regular PPA cover for classes and other cover as needed in teacher absence.
• Support the Muslim ethos of Gatton school through their personal conduct and professionalism.
