Job summary

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming primary school in Leyland to recruit a TA3 / Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead Nursery provision each morning and deliver targeted interventions for Year 1 and Year 2 in the afternoons.

This full-time role follows standard school hours, with potential extension beyond initial funding. Requires Level 3 EYFS/Childcare qualification and experience leading EYFS activities.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
• Experience leading activities or groups within EYFS.
• Confident working independently and taking responsibility for Nursery provision.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework.

Responsibilities

• Mornings: Lead the Nursery class provision as the designated TA3.
• Plan and deliver engaging Early Years activities.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
• Support children's development across the EYFS curriculum.
• Work closely with school leaders to ensure high quality provision.
• Afternoons: Deliver targeted interventions to Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
• Support phonics, literacy and numeracy development.
• Track pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Help pupils build confidence and close learning gaps.
