Job summary

Randstad Education is hiring an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children in the EYFS. You will work with the class teacher to foster a nurturing learning environment and deliver play-based and structured activities that build confidence in young learners.

The role involves providing individual and small-group support, aiding communication and social development, and maintaining classroom routines and observations. A warm, patient approach and safeguarding awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in EYFS or primary settings is essential.
• Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification or suitable experience required.
• A warm, patient and positive approach is important for supporting young learners.

Responsibilities

• Support children across the EYFS curriculum through play-based and structured activities.
• Assist the class teacher to create a nurturing learning environment.
• Provide individual and small-group support as needed.
• Support children's communication, language, social and emotional development.
• Assist with classroom routines, observations and learning activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
