Job summary

GSL Education Leicester is looking for passionate Early Years Support Assistants to work across nurseries, pre-schools, and primary schools in Leicestershire.

The role focuses on supporting children aged 2-5 through play, helping build confidence and essential early learning foundations. Immediate and September start dates are available, with full-time and part-time hours offered in a temporary to long-term capacity.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children in nurseries, pre-schools or schools.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning through play-based activities.
• Assist with delivering engaging Early Years experiences.
• Support social, emotional and communication development.
• Work with individuals and small groups to encourage participation.
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Support with classroom and activity preparation.
• Assist children with additional needs where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and independence.
