Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals for temporary postal delivery driver roles. You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels in all weather, combining van driving with walking on your route.

This role involves handling election materials and certain items in line with company standards. A driving assessment is required on start, and you should enjoy staying active and flexible in a variable schedule.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of a Royal Mail round, using a van and walking as needed.
• Provide exceptional service and ensure items reach destinations safely, including handling election materials and items like food or alcohol in line with Royal Mail standards.
