Job summary

Reading Borough Council is seeking a Customer Fulfilment Centre Advisor to join the Reading team. You will handle a range of enquiries face to face, over the phone, by email and text messaging, delivering high quality customer service.

The role requires experience in a Call Centre, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. The salary is £29,071 to £34,811 per year, with generous holiday entitlement and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• You must have experience of working in a Call Centre environment.
• You will have good communication skills and the ability to deal with a broad range of customer enquiries.
• You will have a high degree of self-motivation and initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by giving accurate and up to date advice.
• Understand the needs of customers and handle difficult situations in a sensitive way.
• Use several systems to input and extract information, so experience of using a variety of computer packages is desirable.
• You will be part of a team that works to provide the best possible customer service.
