Reading Borough Council is recruiting a Customer Fulfilment Centre Advisor to provide high-quality customer service to residents, businesses and partners. The role involves handling enquiries face to face, by phone, email and text.

You'll join Team Reading in a busy contact centre, using multiple computer systems to input and retrieve information, and you will work full-time on-site at Reading RG1 2LU. Closing date 15 Nov 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a call centre environment.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to handle a broad range of customer enquiries and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by giving accurate and up to date advice
• Understand the needs of customers and handling difficult situations in a sensitive way
• Use several systems to input and extract information, so experience of using a variety of computer packages is desirable
