Job summary

Academia is seeking a proactive Credit Controller in Hemel Hempstead to manage customer accounts, chase payments, and maintain timely monthly statements. You will assess credit risk, set limits, and work with internal teams to ensure the finance function runs smoothly.

The role requires strong numeracy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Epicor and Xero is advantageous, and you’ll join a growing IT services provider

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail when managing customer accounts and financial records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially about payments.
• Solid understanding of credit control processes, including credit limits and debt collection.

Responsibilities

• Daily chasing on your assigned ledger.
• Monitor debtor account balances and DSO metrics.
• Process new account applications and allocate credit limits.
• Reconcile accounts and post cash daily.
• Send reminders and statements weekly.
• Resolve queries and handle credit control admin duties.
• Provide administrative support within Credit Control.
