Academia the Technology Group is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team in Hemel Hempstead. You will manage customer accounts, chase payments, and ensure timely cash collection in a fast-paced environment.

We value clear communication, attention to detail and a professional, diplomatic approach when resolving payment queries. You’ll work with internal teams and external customers to keep accounts up to date while supporting broader finance processes.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in managing customer accounts.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams.
• Solid understanding of credit control processes, including credit limits and debt collection.
• Strong numeracy and comfort with financial data.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple accounts to meet deadlines.
• Diplomatic approach when handling payment queries.

Responsibilities

• Daily chasing on your assigned ledger.
• Closely monitoring debtor account balances and DS0 metrics.
• Processing new account applications, including credit checks and credit limits.
• Reconciling accounts.
• Posting cash to accounts daily.
• Sending reminder letters and statements weekly.
• Handling queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Managing finance-related tickets and payments; supporting the Finance function.
• Providing administrative support within Credit Control.
