Job summary

Aspire People in Pontypridd is seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support pupils across Pontypridd. This role is suitable for graduates, teaching assistants, trainee teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, tutors and anyone with relevant experience working with children or young people.

You will supervise classes during teacher absence, deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain positive behaviour, support learning, follow school policies and provide feedback to staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people essential.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confident communication and organisation.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions.
• School experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absence.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and activities.
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Support pupils with their learning and engagement.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff where required.
