Job summary

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a partnership secondary school in Llanelli. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident and adaptable education professionals looking for flexible or full-time work within supportive school environments.

Deliver pres-set lessons, supervise pupils, maintain a calm classroom, and build strong relationships with staff. A Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desirable, with DBS updating, and access to 24/7 consultant support and

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Education, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a relevant subject is desirable.
• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Experience working within a secondary school environment is desirable.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Supervise pupils across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Maintain a calm, positive, and productive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage positive engagement.
• Build strong professional relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Adapt confidently to different classroom environments and school settings.
