Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across South Wales, including Merthyr Tydfil. You will supervise pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, help with classroom management, and adapt to different subjects and age groups.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or in the care sector, paid or voluntary.
• Genuine interest in working with children and young people.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.
• Proactive, patient, and understanding attitude.
• Good understanding of special educational needs (SEN).
• Ability to provide a variety of support to pupils.
• Effective team player.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in Years 7–9 and GCSE students in secondary settings.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Adapt to various subjects and age groups as needed.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupils' wellbeing.
• Contribute to a nurturing and supportive school atmosphere.
