Job summary

Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is recruiting for Cover Supervisors to join our team in the Burnley area. You will cover lessons and supervise pupils during absence of teaching staff, ensuring the set work is completed and pupils stay on task.

We value strong communication, recent secondary school experience, and a commitment to safeguarding. Successful applicants will undergo a DBS check and benefit from LCC CPD, teacher pension access, and career development

Qualifications

• Very high standard of communication skills, accurate spelling and grammar.
• Recent experience of working in Secondary schools.
• Experience Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 or Key Stage 5.
• Commitment to professional development and a keenness to learn.
• A passion for working with children.
• Commitment to Safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Cover lessons and supervise pupils carrying out prepared exercises when teaching staff are absent.
• Manage the classroom to ensure pupils remain on task with the work set.
