Job summary

Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is recruiting for Cover Supervisors to join our team in the Preston area. The role involves covering lessons and supervising pupils when staff are absent, ensuring pupils remain on task with the set work.

Successful applicants will typically undergo a DBS check and commit to safeguarding; support with career development and access to pension schemes is available through the partnership with Lancashire Teaching Agency.

Qualifications

• Very high standard of communication, accurate spelling and grammar
• Recent experience in Secondary schools
• Experience with Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 or Key Stage 5
• Commitment to professional development and willingness to learn
• Passion for working with children
• Commitment to safeguarding and safeguarding policies

Responsibilities

• Cover lessons and supervise pupils when teaching staff are absent
• Manage the classroom to ensure pupils stay on task with the work set
