Job summary

Lift Four Dwellings Secondary is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to ensure learning continues during teacher absences. You will deliver pre-prepared materials, manage behaviour, and support SEND targets, working with SEND and pastoral teams to keep students on task.

This fixed-term role is 32.5 hours per week, 8:15am–3:15pm, until 31 August 2027, based at Four Dwellings Academy within Lift Schools. Training, safeguarding commitment, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people is essential.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and safeguard pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences across subjects.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and support student learning.
• Lead the 'super cover' provision with a second staff member.
• Maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment and manage behaviour.
