Job summary

Envision Education in Slough is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor for an immediate start in primary schools. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-set lessons, manage behaviour and support pupils' learning while the regular teacher is away.

Ideal candidates have classroom or school-based experience, strong communication, and the ability to work calmly and effectively as part of a team, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm. DBS check and UK residency required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience working with children or young people.
• Previous classroom or school-based experience is essential.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Confident managing groups of pupils independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, patient and professional approach.
• Reliable and committed.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Available for an immediate start.
• Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes and ensuring pupils remain focused.
• Delivering pre-set lessons and activities.
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and effectively.
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Maintaining a calm, safe and positive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils with questions and learning tasks.
• Following school policies and procedures.
• Working closely with teachers and school staff.
• Providing feedback on pupil behaviour and progress where required.
