Job summary

Salt Creating Futures Ltd. is seeking Senior/Specialist Cloud Engineers (AWS & Secure Infrastructure) for on-site roles in London, Ipswich, or Cheltenham.

You will design, build, and deploy high-availability AWS solutions and secure cloud architecture within an agile team, automating processes and mentoring junior engineers. Key responsibilities include leading cloud design, IaC automation, 3rd line support, and line management of junior engineers.

Senior/Specialist Cloud Engineers (AWS & Secure Infrastructure) Location:London, Ipswich, or Cheltenham (100% On-site)

Salary:Up to £100,000 +10% Bonus

Security Clearance:Active DV Clearance (10+ years UK residency required)

About the Role We are recruiting for a global security organisationsupporting critical national infrastructure and global defencesystems.

You will design, build, and deploy high-availability AWS solutions and secure cloud architecture. Working as part of an agile delivery team, you will automate complex processes, deliver zero-trust cloud solutions, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Design & Build:Lead the design and hands-on build of secure AWS cloud architecture and solutions.
• Automation & Infrastructure:Manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automate time-intensive administrative processes.
• Support & Maintenance:Provide 3rd line support for deployed cloud systems and collaborate with support teams on system monitoring.
• Leadership:Line manage, mentor, and foster the professional development of junior engineers.

What We Are Looking For

• Core Technical Expertise:Strong experience on core AWS services (compute and managed services).
• Development & IaC:Full-stack cloud development skills (Python, Node.js) and hands‑on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
• Containers & Orchestration:Demonstrated experience delivering Kubernetes or AWS EKS solutions.

Key Vetting Requirements

• Must holdDeveloped Vetting (DV)level clearance.
• Must have lived in the UK continuously for at least the last10 years.
