Job Summary

Independent implementation of core infrastructure and security services in Amazon Web Services, delivering highly available, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. Works within an agile delivery team, leading design, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on build and development of world‑class secure cloud‑based solutions within an agile team.
• Lead the design of cloud solutions, utilizing AWS services and managed solutions.
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements and provide solutions.
• Engage with support teams to enable management, monitoring, and ongoing support of cloud systems.
• Provide third‑line support to deployed cloud solutions.
• Line‑manage junior team members, supporting their professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

• Cloud Architecture / Design, Cloud Migration, Cloud Deployment.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, compute and managed services.
• Software development for cloud, full‑stack development in JavaScript/Node.js or Python.
• Experience delivering Kubernetes or AWS EKS solutions.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code management with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), automation of cloud operations.
• Strong understanding of micro‑service, containerised deployment strategies and zero‑trust authorization model.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior colleagues.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP is a plus.
• DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance required; applicant must have lived in UK for 10+ years.
