Outpost Search Ltd. is seeking an experienced Big Data Solution Architect to design and evolve a large-scale cyber security data platform used to process and analyse vast amounts of information.

The role offers hybrid working across the UK with a salary around £80,000 plus allowances, bonus and a pension package. You will architect scalable data platforms, drive IaC and DevOps automation, and mentor engineers within a highly skilled team.

Qualifications

• Experience designing large-scale, resilient big data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker or container technologies.
• Proficient in Python or Bash scripting; experience with DevOps tooling.
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks and data lakes.
• Experience with IaC and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling.

We're hiring an experienced Big Data Solution Architect to help design and evolve a large-scale cyber security data platform used to process and analyse vast amounts of critical information.

This is a rare opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, influence architecture decisions, and solve genuinely complex engineering challenges within a highly skilled technical team.

What you'll be doing:

• Architecting scalable, resilient big data platforms
• Designing modern infrastructure using Kubernetes and container technologies
• Driving automation through Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices
• Working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions
• Supporting the evolution of high-performance data platforms used in cyber security environments
• Mentoring engineers and helping shape technical best practice

We're looking for experience in:

• Linux administration
• Kubernetes
• Docker & container technologies
• Big Data platforms & Data Lakes
• Infrastructure as Code
• Python or Bash scripting
• DevOps & Agile delivery
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Loki
• Cloud infrastructure and distributed systems

Experience with technologies such as Spark, Trino, Hive or Airflow would be a significant advantage.
