Job summary

Secure Consult currently seeks a Quantity Surveyor with DV clearance to lead commercial management on UK and international construction projects. You will handle cost control, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration, ensuring governance and timely reporting.

You will collaborate with project teams, prepare CVRs, and manage subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts. DV clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying or commercial construction roles.
• Familiarity with JCT and/or NEC contract administration.
• Skilled in preparing cost reports, payment applications and commercial forecasts.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts and cost control including variations.
• Exposure to final accounts preparation and negotiation.
• Degree or equivalent in quantity surveying or related field.
• Eligibility to obtain UK DV security clearance is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial control and cost plans for allocated projects or packages.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, cost reports, and forecasts.
• Administer subcontractor procurement and commercial correspondence.
• Manage contract administration under JCT, NEC, or other forms including notices and variations.
• Prepare and recommend payment applications, valuations, and final accounts.
• Produce monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and commercial reports.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring governance compliance.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams, attending meetings and responding to queries.
