Job summary

Heron Foods is hiring a Duty Manager for our new Meadowell store in North Shields. You will lead the team, maintain high service standards, keep the store clean and well stocked, and drive sales while controlling costs.

You will be a keyholder, stepping in for the Store Manager during openings and closes, managing performance, training colleagues, and delivering a warm, efficient shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience as Retail Supervisor or Duty Manager in a fast-paced store.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate a team and deliver great customer service.
• Comfortable working in a retail environment with shift patterns.

What You'll Do:

As a Duty Manager, you’ll take on a key leadership role to ensure the store operates seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional results.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service and resolving queries effectively.
• Maintaining a clean, well-presented, and fully stocked store.
• Driving sales and profitability by managing performance and efficiency.
• Being a keyholder and taking responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager (including store openings and closes).
