Job summary

Premier Inn is seeking a Duty Manager for Exeter Central (St David's). You’ll lead shifts across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant to ensure guests have a smooth stay and your team has what it needs. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership and problem solving rather than a desk job.

This fixed-term contract runs until 28/02/2027 with 32 guaranteed hours per week. Pay is up to £13.86 per hour, with evenings and weekends included. A strong path to ongoing hotel management is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in busy guest-focused environments preferred.
• Able to make quick decisions and stay calm under pressure.
• Confidence in coaching and supporting colleagues throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across reception, housekeeping and food service.
• Deliver clear pre-shift briefings and coach team members.
• Resolve guest queries and problems to maintain high service levels.
• Coordinate with Reception, Housekeeping and Restaurant to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure safety and hotel running standards are followed.
