Job summary

Premier Inn is recruiting a Duty Manager for London Romford (Mercury Gardens). This isn’t a desk job. You’ll lead shifts across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant to keep the hotel running smoothly and ensure guests have a great stay.

You’ll train and coach the team, handle guest queries, and resolve issues quickly. The role offers guaranteed hours, a permanent contract and a clear path to managerial progression.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Customer‑facing experience and a friendly, problem‑solving approach.
• Comfortable making decisions and staying calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead hotel shifts across reception, housekeeping and restaurant.
• Coach team members and deliver pre‑shift briefings.
• Assist guests with questions and resolve issues quickly.
• Jump in to support different teams during busy periods.
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager and leadership team.
