Job summary

Premier Inn Carlisle Central is hiring a Duty Manager to lead shifts, support guest services and keep the hotel running smoothly. You’ll work across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant to ensure guests have a great stay and your team has everything they need.

You’ll be on the floor, actively leading, problem-solving and stepping in where needed. This is a permanent role offering guaranteed hours and a clear development path within Whitbread.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in busy customer-facing environments.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to lead from the front and train others.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across reception, housekeeping and restaurant to ensure great guest stays.
• Coach and support team members throughout the day.
• Help guests with questions and resolve issues quickly and politely.
• Step in to support different teams—reception to restaurant—as needed.
• Identify and fix issues early to keep operations smooth and safe.
• Collaborate with the Hotel Manager and leadership team.
