Job summary

Whitbread Kendal Central Premier Inn is seeking a Duty Manager to help lead the hotel during shifts. You’ll work across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant to ensure guests have a great stay and your team has everything it needs.

This permanent role offers 20 guaranteed hours per week, with evenings and weekends included. It also provides training and a clear path toward a future Hotel Manager role within Whitbread.

Qualifications

• No hotel experience required.
• Available for 20 hours per week.
• Permanent contract – no zero-hours contracts.
• Evenings and weekends shifts included.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre-shift briefings.
• Coach and support team members throughout the day.
• Help guests with questions and sort out problems.
• Jump in to support different teams, from reception to the restaurant.
• Spot issues early and put them right.
• Help keep guests safe and the hotel running smoothly.
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager and wider leadership team.
