Freedom Leisure is hiring a Duty Manager to lead a motivated staff team and ensure excellent customer experiences at our leisure centres across England and Wales.

The role involves managing day-to-day operations, contributing to budget performance, and driving service excellence with flexible, autonomous decision making. We offer full training, progression opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience of problem solving, customer service and staff management.
• Experience working in a Duty Management or similar role.
• Ability to work flexibly with autonomy and make decisions.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage and develop a team of operational staff.
• Oversee day-to-day duty management and running of the leisure centre.
• Contribute to and understand the centre's business and budget performance.
• Be a proactive member of the leisure centre team.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional development and industry passion.
• Handle customer service issues and staff management effectively.
• Adapt to variable demands with the ability to think on your feet.
• Support a rota-based schedule across a 39-hour week.
