Job summary

Everybody Health & Leisure is hiring a Duty Manager for Poynton Leisure Centre. The role leads shift operations, ensures safety, delivers high‑quality visitor experiences, and supports bookings and financial processes.

You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, manage the team on shift, and maintain service standards while pursuing external accreditations such as Quest and Investors in People. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing or operational role.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Confidence in leading a team and making decisions.
• Proactive approach to maintaining safety and service standards.

Job description

Join our team as a Duty Manager!

We’re looking for a Duty Manager to support the smooth, safe, and effective operation of our leisure centre. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, confident in leading a team, and committed to delivering a high‑quality experience for all visitors.

What the role involves

• Overseeing day‑to‑day operations to ensure services run efficiently
• Leading the team on shift and supporting a positive, customer‑focused working environment
• Taking responsibility for health and safety, customer care, and incident management
• Managing bookings, supporting financial processes, and ensuring compliance with centre procedures
• Contributing to external accreditations such as Quest and Investors in People
• Completing site‑specific checks and maintaining high operational standards across all areas

No two days are the same, and the role offers the opportunity to develop strong operational and leadership skills within a busy leisure environment.

What we’re looking for

Salary: £30,020.74 (Pro rata)

Contracted roles follow a three point grading structure, with the opportunity to advance annually through the PDR (Performance and Development Review) process.
