Job summary

Shropshire Community Leisure Trust is seeking a Duty Manager for Oswestry Leisure Centre to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safety and high standards, and lead a team across shifts. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining safety culture within a community leisure facility.

The position is a 9-month FTC with 20.5 hours per week, including early, late, and weekend shifts. DBS checks and occupational health steps may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the facility on a day-to-day basis, ensuring activities are delivered safely and to a high standard.
• Lead, deploy and support operational colleagues, ensuring duties are clearly allocated and completed effectively.
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Respond confidently to emergency situations, taking control and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Monitor operational performance and contribute to continuous improvement through the use of performance data and key performance indicators.

What you'll do as a Duty Manager
