Serco Limited, on behalf of Shropshire Community Leisure Trust, is seeking a Duty Manager for Oswestry Leisure Centre. The role is a 9-month FTC, part-time at 20.5 hours per week with a mix of early, late and weekend shifts on a 3-week rota.

You will lead daily operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and deliver excellent customer service in a welcoming community facility.

Responsabilités

• Manage the facility day-to-day to ensure safety and high standards.
• Lead and support operational staff; allocate duties.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure policies are followed.
• Respond to emergencies and take appropriate action.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Monitor performance and contribute to continuous improvement using KPIs.

Salary: 15,424.68 plus excellent benefits

As Duty Manager, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Leading operational colleagues and providing visible support to customers, you'll help create an environment where everyone can enjoy their visit with confidence. Your work has purpose, helping to deliver a positive impact on communities while supporting healthier and happier futures for local people.

What you'll do as a Duty Manager

• Manage the facility on a day-to-day basis, ensuring activities are delivered safely and to a high standard.
• Lead, deploy and support operational colleagues, ensuring duties are clearly allocated and completed effectively.
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Respond confidently to emergency situations, taking control and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Monitor operational performance and contribute to continuous improvement through the use of performance data and key performance indicators.

Vetting and checks:

This role requires a Basic DBS check, which will disclose any unspent convictions in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
