Job summary

Iconic Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Duty Manager for our award-winning property Chewton Glen in Hampshire. You will play a key role in ensuring guest well-being and maintaining high host presence to ensure smooth hotel operations on duty.

Responsibilities include shift preparation with hotel knowledge, VIP guest handling, welcoming guests, and guiding guests to prompt service. Accommodation options and employee perks are part of the package.

We are looking for a Duty Manager to join our team at our award-winning hotel in Hampshire.

Chewton Glen is a true English original. From the unique 72 bedrooms including 14 one of a kind Treehouses, to the award-winning newly refurbished spa and state of the art James Martin cookery school, it has an abundance of ways to revive your senses. The blissful 130 acres of woodland are home to an indoor and outdoor tennis centre, a 9-hole golf course, heritage orchard, 70 working beehives, a walled kitchen garden, croquet lawn and more.

Aim of the Duty Manager:

To ensure the well-being of all guests during their time at the hotel and maintaining a high level of host presence throughout to ensure the overall smooth running of the hotel at all times when on duty.

Responsibilities of the Duty Manager:

• Ensuring you are prepared for every shift with faultless hotel knowledge
• Show passion for your guests’ experience by attending daily briefings to learn about special occasions, requirements and VIP guests
• To take ownership in welcoming and bidding farewell to all visitors in a warm and professional manner
• Ensuring all guests receive prompt service and guidance
• To be confident in handling guest requirements, special requests and complaints
• Take ownership in the smooth running of all departments during your shift
