Job summary

Leonardo Hotels seeks a proactive Duty Manager to oversee daily hotel operations and guide the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will supervise across departments, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

You’ll coach new starters, assist with interviews, and resolve guest issues confidently while collaborating with HR on staff activities and training. This is a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality role within our hotel estate in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality leadership or supervisory roles.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong guest-service focus and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day hotel operations and supervise staff across departments.
• Engage guests to ensure memorable experiences and smooth service delivery.
• Support recruitment and coach new starters to build confidence in their roles.
• Handle guest issues and complaints with professionalism and quick resolutions.

The Duty Manager will direct the strategic initiatives and objectives of the hotel, as well as managing day to day operations through the engagement of the team. All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests, in line with both company and hotel-specific service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel. You will act as an ambassador for your own hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, demonstrating the company vision, mission and values. At all times, you will treat others around you with respect, dignity and fairness. As a Duty Manager, you’ll support the senior operational team to keep the hotel running like clockwork and ensure our guests have an incredible experience with us. Take a deep breath because you’ll be stepping into a busy role! You’ll supervise the day-to-day hotel operations, ensure every stay is extra special and inspire a vibrant team to exceed our guests’ expectations. We’re looking for someone with versatility, who is great at getting stuck in and thrives on the fast-paced nature of Hospitality!

As a Duty Manager, you will:

• Get out and about in the hotel, greeting guests and motivating the team to deliver great hospitality
• Have strong operational knowledge with the ability to work across departments as required
• Support other managers with interviews and recruitment- it’s a team effort
• Coach and train new starters- we want everyone to feel confident in their new role!
• Have excellent problem-solving skills with the confidence to manage conflicts or complaints seamlessly
• Collaborate with your local HR team to host engaging activities for the team
• Preferably have experience working in a branded hotel or restaurant?
