Job summary

Choice Teachers is recruiting a SENCo to work across two local academies in Luton, Bedfordshire. The role combines leadership across a secondary and a primary site to shape SEN provision and support diverse student needs.

The successful candidate will oversee SEN policy, provide guidance to staff and parents, and lead a team of specialists while ensuring statutory SEND compliance. QTS and NASENCO qualifications (or progress) are required.

Qualifications

• QTS and NASENCO qualifications required or in progress.
• Proven leadership across multiple settings.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience coordinating SEND provision across two sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordinate provision for pupils with SEND across both academies.
• Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Lead, develop, and support a team of learning support assistants and specialists.
• Monitor, track, and evaluate student progress, implementing targeted interventions where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks and the SEND Code of Practice.
