Job summary

Marshall Volkswagen Reading is seeking a General Manager to drive performance across both the Passenger Car dealership and Commercial Van Centre in Reading. You will be responsible for selling, aftersales and overall customer experience, ensuring operational excellence and sustained growth.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong commercial acumen and the ability to lead and develop teams while delivering high CSI scores and embedding our values across the site.

Qualifications

• You’ll have previous General Manager experience in dealership operations.
• Strong leadership, planning and people development.
• Stakeholder management and ability to influence at all levels.
• Customer-focused with drive to achieve high CSI scores.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance of both stores (Sales and Aftersales).
• Lead, motivate and develop management teams to meet financial, operational and customer targets.
• Collaborate with Regional Directors and Franchise Director to align with group objectives and manufacturer expectations.
• Lead local marketing, growth strategy and staff development across the site.
