Job summary

Orion Smart Metering is seeking a Dual Fuel Engineer to join our nationwide team. You will install smart meters in domestic properties and deliver a customer-focused service with strong safety and compliance adherence.

The role requires a smart meter qualification, CMA1/CCN1 & MET1, MOCOPA certification, and a full UK driving licence. DBS check and EUSR are desirable. Competitive salary and company benefits offered.

• DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred) and EUSR are advantageous.

Pay & Package Options

Salary Package

• £45,000 per annum.
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

Guaranteed Day Rate – Option 1

• £200 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

Guaranteed Day Rate – Option 2

• £275 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Engineer provides own van & fuel
• Tools & uniform provided

Bonus Breakdown

KPI Bonus – £150 per month

• Achieved by hitting 75% job completion in a calendar month

Attendance Bonus – £150 per month

• Awarded for full attendance with no sick days
• Pro‑rated for holidays

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (1‑hour lunch)
• Minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week
• Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met

Call Out

• 1 week in 4 rota
• Standby payments Monday–Sunday
• Per job rates:
  • £150 per dual install
  • £80 per single
  • £50 per transactional job

Saturday work available (paid at day rate)
