Job summary

Orion Smart Metering in the UK is seeking experienced Dual Fuel Engineers to install smart meters in domestic properties and deliver a professional, customer-focused service across a nationwide team.

You will meet CMA1/CCN1/MET1, MOCOPA, and driving licence requirements, with DBS checks preferred. Weekend work is possible after weekly targets are met.

Qualifications

• Smart Meter Qualification or diploma required.
• CMA1, CCN1 and MET1 certifications.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• DBS check preferred (recent within 3 months).
• EUSR card is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install smart meters safely in domestic properties.
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service.
• Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards.
• Represent Orion Smart Metering as part of a nationwide engineering team.

Education

Smart Meter Engineering qualification or diploma

MOCOPA certification (or completed during induction)

Full UK driving licence

Job description

At Orion Smart Metering, we're proud to work with some of the UKs biggest energy and metering companies.

As we continue to grow our national contracts, we're looking for experienced Dual Fuel Engineers to join our expanding team.

Pay & Package Options

Choose the option that suits your circumstances:

1? ? Salary Package

• £45,000 per annum.
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

2? ? Guaranteed Day Rate Option 1

• £200 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

3? ? Guaranteed Day Rate Option 2

• £275 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Engineer provides own van & fuel
• Tools & uniform provided

Bonus Breakdown

Boost your earnings with monthly incentives:

KPI Bonus £150 per month

• Achieved by hitting 75% job completion in a calendar month

Attendance Bonus £150 per month

• Awarded for full attendance with no sick days
• Pro-rated for holidays

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8am5pm (1-hour lunch)
• Minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week
• Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met

Call Out

• 1 week in 4 rota
• Standby payments MondaySunday
• Per job rates:
  • £150 per dual install
  • £80 per single
  • £50 per transactional job

Saturday work available (paid at day rate)
