Job summary

Orion Smart Metering is seeking experienced Dual Fuel Engineers to join our expanding nationwide team. You will install smart meters safely in domestic properties and deliver a professional, customer-focused service while upholding industry safety standards. Qualified engineers with CMA1/CCN1/MET1, MOCOPA certification, and a valid UK driving licence are encouraged to apply.

DBS check preferred. Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided, with a competitive salary and holiday

Qualifications

• Qualification in smart meter engineering or diploma.
• CMA1 or CCN1 & MET1 certifications required or preferred.
• MOCOPA certification (or completed during induction) is required or advantageous.
• DBS check current within 3 months is preferred.

• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service.
• Ensure all work meets industry safety and compliance standards.
• Represent Orion as part of a nationwide engineering team.

Job description

At Orion Smart Metering, were proud to work with some of the UKs biggest energy and metering companies.

As we continue to grow our national contracts, were looking for experienced Dual Fuel Engineers to join our expanding team.

Pay & Package Options

Choose the option that suits your circumstances:

1? Salary Package

• £45,000 per annum.
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

2? Guaranteed Day Rate Option 1

• £200 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

3? Guaranteed Day Rate Option 2

• £275 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Engineer provides own van & fuel
• Tools & uniform provided

Bonus Breakdown

Boost your earnings with monthly incentives:

KPI Bonus £150 per month

• Achieved by hitting 75% job completion in a calendar month

Attendance Bonus £150 per month

• Awarded for full attendance with no sick days
• Pro-rated for holidays

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8am5pm (1-hour lunch)
• Minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week
• Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met

Call Out

• 1 week in 4 rota
• Standby payments MondaySunday
• Per job rates:
  • £150 per dual install
  • £80 per single
  • £50 per transactional job

Saturday work available (paid at day rate)

Requirements

• Smart Meter Engineering qualification or diploma
• CMA1 or CCN1 & MET1
• MOCOPA certification (or completed during induction)
• Full UK driving licence
• Clean DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred)
• EUSR card (advantageous, not essential)

Documents required:

Driving licence, passport, gas certificates, MOCOPA, qualifications, NI number, references, and DBS.
