Job summary

Orion Smart Metering is seeking a Dual Fuel Engineer to install smart meters in domestic properties and provide a professional, customer-focused service. You will work as part of a nationwide team, ensuring safety and compliance across all installations.

The role offers a salary option of £45,000 per annum or day-rate options of £200–£275, with additional monthly KPI and attendance bonuses and a weekend option once targets are met. Training and equipment are provided.

Qualifications

• Smart Meter Engineering qualification or diploma.
• CMA1 or CCN1 & MET1.
• MOCOPA certification (or completed during induction).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Clean DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred).
• EUSR card (advantageous, not essential).

Responsibilities

• Install smart meters safely and efficiently in domestic properties.
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service.
• Ensure all work meets industry safety and compliance standards.
• Represent Orion as part of a nationwide engineering team.

As we continue to grow our national contracts, were looking for experienced Dual Fuel Engineers to join our expanding team.

Pay & Package Options

Choose the option that suits your circumstances:

1? Salary Package

• £45,000 per annum.
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

2? Guaranteed Day Rate Option 1

• £200 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

3? Guaranteed Day Rate Option 2

• £275 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Engineer provides own van & fuel
• Tools & uniform provided

Bonus Breakdown

Boost your earnings with monthly incentives:

KPI Bonus £150 per month

• Achieved by hitting 75% job completion in a calendar month

Attendance Bonus £150 per month

• Awarded for full attendance with no sick days
• Pro-rated for holidays

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8am5pm (1-hour lunch)
• Minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week
• Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met

Call Out

• 1 week in 4 rota
• Standby payments MondaySunday
• Per job rates:
  • £150 per dual install
  • £80 per single
  • £50 per transactional job

Saturday work available (paid at day rate)
