Job summary

Sureserve Energy Services Meters is hiring a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer in Birmingham. You will replace meters in customers’ homes, provide thorough demonstrations, and perform post-install maintenance to ensure accurate readings and customer satisfaction.

The role offers banding with £39,923–£41,571 per year, plus performance bonuses and a range of employee benefits, in a stable, growth-focused team.

Qualifications

• MET1 certification and related qualifications.
• CCN1/CMA1/CMA3 registrations or equivalent.
• Experience with single and polyphase electric systems.

Responsibilities

• Exchange gas and electricity meters in customers' homes.
• Provide after-care with a full meter usage demonstration.
• Repair and maintain meters after installation.

Purpose of the role

• To exchange gas and electricity meters in customers’ homes.
• Provide a first class after-care service which includes a full demonstration to the customer on using their new meter.
• Repairing and maintaining meters after initial install.

Banding A - Dual Fuel Engineer - £39,923 per annum

Banding B - 3 Phase / Medium Pressure - £41,571 per annum

• OTE for DF only engineer £48-53K – uncapped
• Performance bonus

Qualifications and Key skills required

• MOCOPA (1a and 1c)
• REGT1 and polyphase electric (desirable not essential)
• Full UK Driving licence
• Minimum of 6 months experience in fitting dual fuel smart meters
• 3 phase or single-off multi is advantageous
