Job summary

The Role

You will work directly with learners to identify and address barriers to participation, improve retention and achievement, and build confidence and readiness for progression into apprenticeships, higher technical study and defence-related employment. Working closely with curriculum, careers and employer-engagement colleagues, you will help ensure learners receive timely, personalised support and that those from underrepresented groups can access and sustain successful technical career pathways.

• Learning - Able to learn from patterns in learner behaviour, feedback and outcomes, anticipate where disengagement or progression barriers may develop, and adapt interventions to the needs of individual learners.
• Persistence - Able to provide consistent support when learners experience setbacks, maintaining patience, confidence and determination and trying alternative approaches to help learners remain engaged and progress successfully.
