Job summary

Unique School Solutions is supporting a secondary school in Sheffield to appoint a Design Technology Technician. You will work in a busy school workshop, preparing materials and supporting teachers with lesson preparation.

The role requires good knowledge of workshop health and safety and ideally previous school experience. Start date is September 2026 with potential permanent progression after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a school or similar setting.
• Excellent knowledge of workshop health and safety.
• Experience of monitoring and ordering DT equipment.
• Experience of preparing DT equipment for classrooms.
• The ability to build rapport with young learners.
• The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative.
