Ivy Resource Group is recruiting a Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time, long-term role in Swindon, starting January 2027 and running until the end of the academic year. The role covers Design & Technology for KS3/KS4 with a preference for a Woodwork/Resistant Materials/Product Design specialism.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school.
• Specialism in Woodwork, Resistant Materials or Product Design preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver DT lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan, prepare and assess engaging lessons.
• Support students in developing practical skills and creativity.
• Contribute to the wider life of the department and school.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed in workshops.
