Ivy Resource Group is recruiting a Design & Technology teacher for a full-time, long-term post at a Swindon secondary school starting January 2027 and finishing at the end of the academic year.

The role covers KS3 and KS4, with a preference for a Woodwork/Product Design specialism. You will deliver practical DT lessons, plan, assess and contribute to the department and school community.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school.
• Specialism in Woodwork, Resistant Materials or Product Design preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsabilités

• Deliver Design & Technology lessons to KS3-4.
• Plan, prepare and assess engaging DT lessons.
• Support students in developing practical skills, creativity and problem solving.
• Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement.
• Ensure health and safety in practical workshop environments.
